Pros

Until about 2-3 years ago, working at Crossroads was pretty much all pros. Low employee turnover, great benefits, wonderful home office to work under, a GREAT ED at the memphis location that had been there for years. That all changed when the owners fiscal mistakes finally started to effect the company and the previous ED retired. I honestly cannot give any good pros to working for them at this point.

Cons

- Company is in major damage control financially, they have cleaned house and reorganized multiple job titles in order to save money - Executive Director at the Memphis location has no idea what she is doing- no previous management experience and has very biased opinions of associates. Once you get on her bad side, you have pretty much signed your death sentence at the company. She likes to use the word insubordination a lot when she does not get her way, even when that is not actually what is going on in a situation. Folks talk, we are all aware of how she likes to operate. - Company went from PAYING for employee benefits to charging so much most of us cannot afford the deductibles. Almost zero incentives to work for the company except the love of hospice and helping patients. - Home office is being run not by the owners or several people that can hold each other accountable for high business standard practices- it is instead being run by a woman who has her hand in too many jars and has a very high opinion of herself. I had a lot of respect for this company and the ownership/ home office group until they lowered their business standards the last year. Stretching yourself too thin, giving one person all the power, and not protecting your employees is going to cause a mass exodus and the downfall of what used to be one of the best companies to work for. More than half of the original staff that was lead under the original ED left or was cut out once the current director took over and home office has done nothing but support her poor decisions since she was hired.

Pros

Enjoyed what the company stood for...always putting the patient first.

Cons

Terrible blunders made by corporate between Palliative & Hospice care. Financial problems...laying off people who were with the company 8+ years..seniority means nothing to them only money. No technology...all paperwork is written...very behind.
