Pros

It’s a job and that’s better than no job Good benefits

Cons

Don’t deliver on promises (eg we’ll provide you with educational tools) CEO thinks he has more design abilities than the professionals he hired. Marketing team gets blamed for not making sales when that is the sales team’s job. Unreasonable expectations from employees for example without going into details I was expected by myself to learn 2 new programming languages and implement these skills in 3 new projects in quite an unreasonable amount of time. I recommend using a language I knew but the idea was rejected because this new stack that I was unfamiliar with is what our developers used. For clarification I did not work with the developers. I would like to say this is a one time incident and only my experience but other employees have expressed concern to me that they too have been given unreasonable expectations. I will not be sharing these due to the fact that some of these employees still work there. If you do not go work for the developer team stay far away. They are favored by the ceo way too much. One example of this favoritism are some of the minor changes that have been made to company policies like right before I left we were finally able to listen to music using headphones this policy was Inacted due to the companies inability to keep developers happy. Claims they run like a cool fun startup but in reality this was the most strict unrelenting environment I have ever worked in if your a creative person definitely not the job for you. Not only will you be forced to create things that look 10 years outdated any recommendations made To improve the design and userbility of the website are over ruled by the egotistical ceo who thinks he can design better than you.

Thank you for your honest response. While this is your opinion, there are many items that are not facts but opinion. Employees have access to educational resources at all times, but it needs to be requested by the employee for what they need. Policy changes are in constant motion for all divisions which is hard for some to understand when they are not involved in the development and approval process of company policies. There are many other facts that could be pointed out here but again, we appreciate your opinion. Anyone looking to join our team, we welcome you to send your resume and come for an interview to discuss and talk with other team members who are happy and performing their job as hired to do.

Pros

I was hired on to start a new office so I got to pick where my individual office would be, but other than that it was one disaster after another.

Cons

The company doesn't seem to care about doing things right the first time. I was reprimanded due to wanting to take time off to help move closer to the office. The person of whom I was hired along with quit within the first 3 months due to how he perceived the company acted towards me. I was expected to help out in the office as well as be on the phones at all times. when I couldn't make it time due to a massive snow storm, they let me go.
