Pros

The relationships you acquire with clients from all over the US is the best thing about this job. You get to see real breakthroughs happen for some.

Cons

The extremely drama based, toxic work environment. People are constantly talking bad about each other while acting like they are good friends. Higher ups pick and choose certain employees to do outside personal activities with, those employees get the upper hand especially when they break violations of the company policies and procedures. The way the upper management curses at clients, treats them inhumanly and treats staff is disgusting and disgraceful.

Pros

People go above and beyond to help the clients, their hearts are in the game. This group of people goes far beyond what most give to their jobs - it is their livlihood and passion. The employees here give of themselves to the company. It is more of a lifestyle for them than a company. Directors work nights and weekends, and each client's care is followed through to appropriate and reasonable completion. The people at this company has had my back in my professional and personal life. The staff take care of each other, support each other, and trust each other. There is a level of friendship and intimacy here that is hard to find elsewhere. There is also a high level of empathy for clients, and countless times have I seen the company forego personal gain to ensure a client has complete care. We are a leader in mental health care and have garnered respect and admiration from programs across the country for good reason - dedication, hard work, service, and humility.

Cons

The directors need to take more breaks!

Pros

Per the headline, I have been an employee here for approx. 6 years and find this place to be stimulating and rewarding. The client care here is second to none and has been staffed appropriately given the population. Approaches to treating the clients have always been innovative and interesting, as there is no cookie cutter approach to treating clients of this nature. Director staff and Clinical work together to create the best treatment outcomes. There is mutual respect and cohesiveness between directors and clinicians with both parties recognizing there are areas that fall out of their scope of expertise. There are only two owners, who spend a lot of money on client care and staffing. Both owners leave a lot of room for inventive ideas and growth. If staff members show dedication and consistency in their work ethic, they will be rewarded with raises and growth within the company. It is really hard for staff to lose their jobs ( meaning people will be give a lot of opportunities to grow beyond mistakes). Upper management will even go as far as to explore different areas for people to work in before they lose their job at the company. One former employee was even written up some 5 times before that person was finally asked to leave.

Cons

The "cons" surround the known stress of working with such a challenging population. This population in not a fit for all who need a job. Growing in this job is hard as many of the current employees that are now in upper management are long standing employees who have shown real dedication and work ethic over the almost six years CCI has been open. Client care never stops which means work can happen 24 hours a day.
