Pros

Nice people, nice building, good location

Cons

Whilst I was there 2 engineers were let go due to 'low productivity'. Neither were naturally bad engineers, one was a grad. They just weren't being managed effectively or helped to develop. I mean, if you want someone highly productive, don't hire a grad. Anyone looking for a good place to work on meaningful projects as well as learn and develop, proceed with caution.

Pros

- Truly exciting and engaging projects in the medical drug delivery device space. - Fantastic colleagues who are all passionate and very skilled. - General standard of technical work is very high. - Great office location, with healthy opportunities to travel to Europe and NA. - Open bars at summer and Christmas parties. - A chief might write a song about you.

Cons

- Ever increasing amount of corporate procedures which distract from pace of technical delivery. Project management function has become too central. Board require a significant amount of monitoring during project delivery as they've stepped back from day-to-day delivery tasks. - Relatively flat org structure which makes progression difficult. - Management is quite cliquey, and became frugal with headcount, hardware and software investment. - Employees not compensated for busy periods: no overtime pay, no bonuses, no shares. - Salaries are competitive at best, but likely underpaying for the calibre recruited.

Pros

Lovely people; everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

Cons

Poor management with little understanding or support for employees' health issues. Experienced micromanagement and poor work allocation, often leaving me with nothing to do despite raising the issue multiple times. Management was inflexible and unsupportive. The company’s equality, diversity, and inclusion policy felt performative and not genuinely implemented. Leadership was dominated by a non-inclusive and biased mindset, making it a very uncomfortable work environment, especially for women. Not a LGBTQ+ friendly workplace
