Pros

The teammates are very helpful.

Cons

Cubic is owned by Private Equity, and they have been employing a lot of cost cutting such as multiple rounds of layoffs, removing benefits like the $850 annual Lifestyle spending account, no more free EV charging (due to selling the property and doing a leaseback, so the new owners now charge employees for EV charging), and getting rid of the 9/80 schedule. They are also planning on implementing staggered shifts so instead of employees coming in to the office 8a-5p, different employees would come in at different times of the day.

Pros

- Colleagues are, for the most part, helpful and pleasant to work with - Frequent 1-2-1 meetings with my line manager - Little to no micromanagement within my team. - Understanding and supportive managers (at least within my team) they are ready to compromise and find solutions for you. - Training offered and you are encouraged to grow your skillset - Great work life balance. - Comfortable place to work with little office politics

Cons

- Upper and middle management often removed from the work (where the rubber meets the road) and they tend to make bizarre and incorrect moves, this is things such as pushing employee led OKR and then not listening to input from employees. - No possibility of paid overtime - Bonuses (for non-management employees) are exceedingly rare - Low pay rises - Lack of transparency to the staff from management. For example when Cubic was telling staff that they weren't going to sell and become a private company and then all of a sudden they sold the company.
