Lots of office politics, you're either favorited or not. Depending on how well you can keep them pleased. If there is teamwork and employee engagements somehow upper mgmt politics creates a divide and conquer scenario. If you're on the verge of not being liked expect a string of malfunctioning/processes issues to occur, whether office/IT related, to frustrate & manipulate you into quitting on your own. But don't give in until an involuntary termination occurs so you can be entitled to UE. There will be employees (moles) who will be asked to report back or "keep eye on you" if you're found over-performing or outshining the master (PRES), getting too friendly with team members, or if a high performance threat is suspected. The Micromanaging will compromise the integrity of your work. No upward mobility as Sr. Mgmt is complacent with the "loyalty" of its managers. There will be no transparency. If you have tenacity and stamina then you must be willing to remain eagle eyed and maneuver like a hawk to survive the politics and remain one step ahead of the game. Occasionally, it's like walking on a minefield with the unpredictable and erratic behaviors of management. And, unfortunately this seeps into other departments. Lots of insidious drama. All the Cons stated here on GD by current and former employees are true to the TEE including office temperature. More importantly, employee must maintain a dilligent watch with direct deposit and pay stubs. The numbers in the pay or benefits may be altered weeks in advance before an impending separation or during employment , which is unlawful and pursuing will be an exhaustive and costly task. Good luck!
