Thank you for your review. Cyclehoop has been a London Living Wage employer since 2017. A recent salary review led to further increases across the organisation with all entry level salary brackets surpassing the London Living Wage. With regards the comment on asbestos, like a lot of buildings constructed pre-2000, the building does have ACMs in the structural elements. These are boxed in and an annual Management Survey is conducted to ensure the continuing safety of the building. Any asbestos in the building was contained as per requirements before the company moved into the space. No member of staff or the public is at risk from this. Companywide reviews are undertaken every six months to plan individual targets, track progress and give people an opportunity to have a say on the direction of their career path. Although this review is entitled ‘Racist abuse’ there is no further mention of it in the body. We did not receive a formal complaint of racist abuse. Had such an allegation been raised it would have been taken seriously and fully investigated. Approximately 50% of Cyclehoop’s workforce come from ethnic minority backgrounds. Cyclehoop believes every person, regardless of their ethnicity or background, should be able to fulfil their potential at work.

Thank you for this review. The senior management team at Cyclehoop has seen some changes since this review was left, including a new Managing Director. The current team is focused on ensuring employee happiness and wellbeing is addressed. Work that has already been done in this area includes revising staff benefits and assessing training needs on an individual basis. Unfortunately, the claim of bullying was never formally raised. We take bullying seriously and would investigate any such allegations were they to be brought to our attention. With regards the comment on unpaid wages, this issue was raised by the employee after they resigned and settled directly before the review was left. Cyclehoop considered the issue closed, as there was no further action by the individual.
