Pros

You get to learn a lot about the airline and airport industries, which is pretty cool. The office is comfortable, the canteen is really good and extra activities (table tennis, billiard, etc) are nice too.

Cons

Where to start... This company is rotten in so many ways. I used to work here as a parttimer, and unlike the fulltime employees we were hired through an external company. Whereas fulltime employees were working in fixed shifts, we were allover the schedule. So the hours were extremely irregular and after a while you could notice that taking its toll on your health and social life. It also meant that we were not 'full' employees of Cygnific, but a bit of outsiders. A qualification to become a supervisor at this company seems to be incompetence. They are not so much supervisors, but marionettes for higher levels in the company. A supervisor ('teamlead') is supposed to be your friend, your first point of contact, whereas mine was suspicious of everything and very unsupportive. I did not feel comfortable talking to them about anything at all. Supervision sessions often included endless stories about my teamlead's personal life (to very inappropriate topics such as their dating life), and not so much about my professional development as a social media agent. Basic human interaction within this company seems to be rather difficult (agent .- supervisor relationships, that is). Working here was fun, though the job was routine and got boring after a while, but it was very tiring having to keep up with all the drama and gossip. I left in December 2016, but I understood they're currently firing all parttime external employees for any minor reason they can find. I do not give them the honesty they deserve, saying "we're going to let parttimers go we're so sorry". It's all mean games and I would not recommend anyone working here.

Pros

-The people you work with in the trenches are professional, interesting and generally great people. -Building is nice, modern -Cafeteria food is boring but cheap -Every month there is a work drink -Transportation costs covered

Cons

-If you happen to have human needs, like the need to visit the bathroom more than twice in a 9 hour day, or need to step away from the computer screen occasionally for a second or two, consider other work options. Even a 2 minute break outside of your allocated break times is taken very seriously. -Also, if you think there is a chance you could get even slightly sick this is not the place for you (healthcare not provided by company). They find it very inconvenient when employees get sick (yes even one day counts) and will indirectly use it as an excuse to not renew your contract. This is common knowledge on the floor, and you are even advised by team leads to use your vacation days if you do decide to get sick. The moment you take a sick day, your file gets a black mark on it, and from that moment forward, they will be looking for any excuse to not renew your contract, including fabricating an excuse if necessary (as it would be illegal for them to use the actual reason). Management might even attempt to increase pressure on you (in quite abusive and manipulative ways) to try and force you out voluntarily before the end date of your existing contract. Something they have been doing for years, and is common knowledge within the company. -With exception of a few good people, management is for the most part astoundingly incompetent and rude. Most team leads had no idea what they were doing, and compensated for their lack of know how with arrogance. Most people on the floor know to go to a fellow colleague to find resolution rather than a team lead, who will deliver you the wrong answer with indifference or irritation. -Not enough training given dealing with problems surrounding silly airline policies, which cause turbulent relations with clients, which is essentially the most stressful part of the job. Too much training focus on technical, not enough on client relations, which can often get quite abusive as a result of silly policies -When you are first hired they do a great job of painting the picture of the model company that values its employees, unfortunately however it does not take long before the facade wears thin and you realize its a lot of hype and marketing but not much else. They do not bother to follow through with the image they work hard at projecting as a company -Air quality is terrible. You cannot open a window since the building is climate controlled. Stuffy and hot. Very uncomfortable

Pros

Good for an expat who has to stay in the Netherlands for particular circumstances and need "just any job". No Dutch language needed. They pay your transportation home-work-home, doesn't matter where you live in the country (especially good since finding accommodation in Amsterdam is virtually impossible). Don't be too excited about travelling much, the flight perks are restricted to the mother-company and flights are permanently full, making standby travel almost impossible. They've fixed the annoying bit of just confirming holidays 3 months before. Now you can already know when you have summer holidays in November of the previous year, and new year holidays as early as May.

Cons

Working for Cygnific is almost common-place if you crash landed in the Netherlands and you don't have an IT, Engineering or another nerd's diploma. For a Dutch national, they usually work here to start their career and leave as fast as they can. As a B2G, I used to think I was better off than B2T or B2C, but recently that Department has simply equalized to the other reservations departments. Intrusive coaching like in every call center, employees being explored to the maximum, you don't have a "team" and it's "your obligation" to work on whichever country that may be busy. Customer service is appalling because all the management team thinks is to save money, since they're so concerned about the business going to another call center in a cheaper country. No marked places, if you want to sit in a quieter spot, you need to come sometimes 40-50 minutes before your shift. Keep your distance, don't plan to stay here more than 1 year, unless you're a female, beautiful, young: those get promoted really fast. The internal promotions are totally obscure.
