Pros

-Great Health Benefits -Diverse workforce -Ability to work remote -Some extremely creative, dedicated, and hardworking people

Cons

-Poor/unqualified C-Level leadership -"Best Practices" is a foreign concept -Little to no growth opportunity -Overworked and understaffed -High and surprisingly quick turnover Both prospective and current employees will be bombarded with buzz words like "culture", "values", "growth", and "opportunity" - and it's all smoke and mirrors. If you're looking for any kind of administrative role, know that: -They will claim to offer competitive pay, but do not -Most entry to senior level positions wind up getting off-shored to much cheaper labor as soon as they're able to, in order to save costs -In terms of career growth opportunity, "middle management" doesn't exist here. It's either directors/executives/VPs, or mid to senior level positions - and 90% of the latter are off-shored. The ceiling here is shockingly low. Generally speaking, this place is an unorganized circus. Much of your time will be spent trying to put out fires without appropriate or adequate tools, support, or resources - all of which will be on top of your “regular” duties/responsibilities.

Pros

Most people I deal with are very kind. This includes clients, manager, and colleagues. Benefits are quite good. Company is growing rapidly. Wide range of clientele.

Cons

There is no doubt the company is growing. The upper management is very ready to celebrate that at every single opportunity (actually very exhausting to be reminded repeatedly). Bonus structure doesn't make sense. The company grew immensely, made lots of financial gains and our team almost scored top marks in performance by the client, however our average merit increase and bonus were very low compared to industry standards. Perhaps, the managers got much higher bonuses? Meanwhile, they are always hiring aggressively. HR/management often reach out to colleagues and ask for referrals. I'm not too enthusiastic about these inquiries because they never reach out for anything else, and they are not that helpful when you need them. When they do successfully hire, the incoming employee probably makes much more money than someone who has been there for years due to this dysfunctional merit system. Without a transparent merit system in place, every new hire is an encouragement for the little guy to leave and pursue better.

This company has lost its way

Pros

Excellent strength in biostatistics Founder, Prof. Cyrus Mehta is considered thought leader in adaptive design EAST is primary software used for complex, adaptive statistical clinical trial design - used everywhere including FDA

Cons

The company has lost its way. Treatment of staff can be impersonal. It can be a treadmill for stats programmers like many other larger CROs. Original culture is lost and it has become another Parexel for better or worse. Numerous key people have left under current leadership. CEO is hard-charging, without a coherent technology vision and too willing to treat people as commodities rather than core of the business.
