Recruitment and hiring give lip service to lofty goals and once you are working, the reality sets in: the company is not organized. Management expect everyone else to be organized in some unspecified way.

It's unfortunate that you had such a negative experience as an employee with DABS Inc in 2014. Things are definitely looking up these days.
We have revamped the entire HR/Recruiting process, with a new HR team and system. I can say from experience, that organization was an issue at one point. But, it has been improved 100%. There is no unfair pressure, paranoia, or micromanaging anymore.
In addition to that, we are planning staff appreciation events and other fun activities for the clients and employees. We want our employees to feel supported and appreciated for all of the hard work that they do. We also offer Medical benefits :)

They trust you to do your work. If you are motivated to take on more clients they will give you more clients. Reimbursed for mileage, though not that much. Friendly owner.
Cons
A lot of driving around. Some clients are not very compliant or really want to improve their life. The biggest hurdle to client improvement is often the family and family system. Turning in your time cards can be a pain. The pay isn't enough to survive in the Bay Area

We apologize for any inconveniences we may have caused you in 2015. But, as you know, this job requires a lot of patience since you were assisting adults with developmental disabilities. We really appreciate your time here with us.
Since 2015, we have given pay increases across the board. We have also implemented a better system for submitting time sheets. The driving is situational, since we cater to the needs of our clients. But, we generally only allow driving up to 10 miles a day. Also, our Service Coordinators have a supervision schedule where they visit the clients homes regularly to check in and give support.
We really appreciate your feedback and your opinion is highly valued. Your perspective makes us aware of what we need to work on and helps us figure out how to better support our employees. Thanks again :)
We do not get paid weekly, and the schedule is flexible based on availability.
Cons
- There is absolutely no real support in this role, and it quickly becomes clear that management provides almost nothing once training is finished.
- After training, you are essentially left completely on your own with no guidance or backup.
- Expectations are extremely high, yet even a single mistake can cost you your job instantly!
- It creates a constant state of pressure and fear where you are always walking on thin ice, with no room for error and no real support system to rely on.
