Pros

Fast paced work environment is the perfect place to learn if you end up on the right team. People who are driven and outgoing can earn the trust of management and flourish. Expectations are high and opportunities to set yourself apart provide you with a chance to be great.

Cons

Some leadership is great, some leadership has no sense of boundaries and is inflexible, creating turnover and professional casualties. Lots of churn creates uncertainty about job responsibilities from week to week and saps the culture. Most ambitious people leave frustrated or burned out and succeed elsewhere.

Pros

You’ll learn public affairs and how to work hard. People are driven.

Cons

Leadership and infrastructure is old fashioned and not willing to change. Business is siloed amongst partners. A lot of A type personalities that slows success. Nepotism. Leadership are bully’s. Clients are sometimes controversial, but there are good ones to balance that out-just don’t get stuck on the bad ones. Trumpland and I didn’t see very much inclusion.

Pros

DCI will give you a lot of responsibility at the junior level which allows you to learn quickly and have exposure to clients early in your career. Opportunity to be on a variety of client teams

Cons

Junior staff is over-worked and compensated poorly. For being DC-based, the pay is subpar. HR is not efficient and requires a number of follow-ups to get emails answered. Some great leadership, some very poor and unethical leadership. Opportunity to grow within the firm is limited due to outdated outlooks. Lacks diversity and doesn't seem to care. Toxic work environment - 18 employees quit in Q1 and Q2 of 2021. Had a COVID outbreak due to little-to-no safety polices and forced employees back into the office with no flexibility. Management committee is three, white men who make all of the decisions.
