Pros

We need a Market Salary Report to justify the proposed salary for a Mechanical Engineer who is going to work in Gold Coast. The person is experienced, with more than 6–7 years of professional background. The report should reference valid and recognised sources such as: • Job advertisements • Salary surveys • Industrial awards • Market insights • And any other acceptable sources commonly used to support a 482 visa sponsorship case.

Cons

The disadvantages of working for this employer should not be the same as the advantages. Make sure you're providing distinct and honest reflections for each."

Pros

- Good experience working with some prominent clients - Film premieres and events to go to - Ensuring you log off relatively on time and trying to implement more of a work/life balance - Office social events - Wellness Wednesday starting work at 10:30am

Cons

- Toxic and bullying management - Management badmouthing ex staff on company wide slack chat for everyone to see - Unfriendly, mean and unwelcoming environment - They'll make it very hard to fit in due to the 'clique-yness' of the those within DDA - Management will make it very clear if they do not care for you - No benefits - Terminate contracts without any notice or fair reason - High staff turnover - No induction or training for new starters - No manager, no progression, no real career plan or goals - Zero diversity whatsoever within the whole company - No recognition for work produced - Uncontrolled slack chats meaning your questions can get ignored a lot of the time

The worst company I have ever worked for

Pros

Zero, I cried every single day

Cons

Not even sure where to start, my first day I already had a sinking feeling and knew I’d made a mistake. There was no set up for inducting new employees and you are instead expected to work it out for yourself but then you are judged for asking questions. Micromanagement is a constant and it’s worrying that the staff don’t find it more bizarre. You’re not allowed to private message anyone about work so if your new you have to ask questions in group chats and they get lost amongst all the other messages. Every morning you have to write your to do list on a shared Google word doc with everyone else and then you’re not allowed to log off until your to do list has been reviewed and you’re okay-ed by the head of the department. If you need to control/micromanage to this level you shouldn’t be running a department. Other colleagues weren’t welcoming in the slightest, and if one of the ones that’s “in” with the head of department doesn’t like you then the rest of the staff will also be off with you for fear of being cast out. I’ve never struggled with mental health problems before I worked here but I found myself crying every day before work and dreading having to turn my laptop on. No praise for good work, but constant picking on mistakes you would expect a new employee with zero induction to make. The fact that all of the reviews on here have the same themes running through them shows that this company won’t change. No diversity, cliquey, horrific management, bullying, no structure, no progression, no respect.
