Pros

DGWB is a wonderful agency with a great culture. There is always work flowing in and the people there are fantastic to work with. Clients will be clients, but the work can oftentimes be rewarding - DGWB has taken home quite a few Addy awards! Some of the leadership is really great. The CEO, Mike, is such a good person and truly cares about the well-being of all of his employees. Also, depending on who your direct supervisor is, some of the supervisors act more as mentors and want to see you grow, both professionally and personally. I was lucky to work with a supervisor who actually supported my decision to leave in order to advance my career. DGWB is smart in that they hire amazing employees. The partners know their culture, and they make sure to hire for that culture. You'll notice that people at DGWB aren't just coworkers; they're genuine friends, too. Overall, this is a great place to start a career in advertising. General perks: early Fridays (last Friday of the month we would get out at 2 PM), kegerator, nice benefits package, accrued vacation/sick time

Cons

After working there for a while, you may eventually hit a wall in which you realize you can't grow anymore. There are some employees there who have been there for 15+ years and clearly have no intention to leave, which is great for them but difficult for the lesser experienced employees who have no further opportunities to advance their careers. DGWB has gotten into a niche type of advertising, one that doesn't include much digital work and one that is very much focused on QSR and healthcare clients. Stay too long and you may become siloed. Processes here are a bit absent - one type of advertising medium is managed one way, and another medium is managed completely differently. I also got to a point where I actually felt guilty leaving at a regular hour (6:30 PM), because it seemed to be culturally unacceptable to work a regular 8-hour day. Seemed as if everyone expected you to stay late, because the later you stayed meant the harder you worked?
