Beware of falsely advertised positions, workloads and purported core values during recruitment process. Human resources will defend bad behavior when issues arise. They are widely regarded within the firm as unprofessional, untrustworthy, and spurious, but gifted at emotional manipulation.
Partners-- There is a painful lack of true leadership and mutual respect among the group. They demonstrate a condescending “we pay you, we own you” attitude towards staff. Some have big egos, some are passive-aggressive, some are both. It is unfortunate the few rotten apples spoil the barrel.
Retention-- This firm cannot seem to retain good talent in their toxic environment. There was tremendous turnover in the past year, even for this industry. Have a look on numerous job sites at the positions of all levels they are constantly scrambling to fill. We came to expect frequent layoffs and resignations. People with better options simply do not have to put up with rubbish treatment.
Other-- outdated software, inefficient processes, sparse and untimely internal communication, redundant meetings, split floors, scattered firm among different office locations, tons of subtenants in the same office spacedisgruntled employees, etc, etc, etc.
