Da Vinci Science Center is a rewarding place to work if you’re passionate about science, education, and community engagement. The team is mission-driven and truly cares about sparking curiosity in people of all ages. Management is approachable, Coworkers thrive on collaboration, and there are frequent opportunities to work on creative projects. It’s a smaller organization, so you get to wear many hats, which helps build skills quickly. A great place for those who want to make an impact while working in a supportive environment.
Cons
Like many nonprofits, budgets are tight, so resources can be limited. Workloads can get heavy during peak event seasons. Limited opportunities for advancement due to the small size of the organization. Roles often require “wearing many hats,” which can be overwhelming for some. Rapid changes and shifting priorities can make long-term planning difficult.

Many of the part time employees are nice and helpful.
Cons
- every employee in education is severely underpaid and overworked. A full time education salary is not enough to afford even a one bedroom apartment in the area - there are cliques and a LOT of inappropriate interpersonal drama - limited training and early on high expectations - money is very poorly managed which led to layoffs they pretend didn’t happen
