Hierarchical organization (top-down), budgets sometimes limit ability to do necessary work/add programs, relatively low pay for nurses, departments operate in a silo and don’t communicate well with each other, expectation of hard work/personal sacrifice for limited reward (recognition or financial incentives)

If you're trying to advance or go from part-time to full-time, it doesn't seem to make a difference if you're an internal candidate who has worked very hard, has received excellent performance evaluations, and gone above and beyond the call of duty. Multiple times I've tried to get into full-time work and been overlooked, sometimes I don't even get as much as an interview, even for positions I'm very qualified for. Just warning people of that before they join this organization.
