    Positive Outlook

I worked at Danone full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Engaging culture and vision. Good people and good products that it’s easy to feel excited about.

    Cons

Very poor HR employment practises and many senior managers that are good technicians not leaders. Lack of processes and systems which are holding it back in being competitive.

    Advice to Management

Keeping poor leaders leads good people to leave and mediocre people to stay.

I have been working at Danone

    Pros

Nice office locations, international work and FMCH culture with an aim on consumer well being.

    Cons

The culture is pretty French and hierarchical which comes with a lot of politics and powerpoint crafting rather then getting work done.

I worked at Danone full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good people across the organisation, a thriving bottom line, flexible work environment, and a company on a mission that is worth believing in and you can actually see in action globally. Good technology and a comfortable environment to work in.

    Cons

Complete lack of strong senior executive leadership, and extremely incompetent leadership at executive level below that. A controlling, transactional management style prevails. The lack of professionalism and discretion at management level can be quite shocking at times, and seems to be rewarded with promotion in spite of an obvious inability to retain good talent as a result. Leadership at the company level take work...

    Advice to Management

Review senior management who can't retain staff and ask their teams what's going on.

    Pros

    Cons

A yes man culture late finishes most days business struggles to attract local talent only one opinion that carries any weight in the building Expects everything done yesterday No knowledge of Australian market as all senior management are from Europe

I worked at Danone full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Good in marketing and packaging the Danone brand overall. - Relatively good benefits and parental leave policy. - Danone campus is good for employees

    Cons

    - "Great Company Culture" is used as a tool to market the company - Good HR branding but it's so far from reality. - Chaotic management team, too much of French & European influenced, lack of diversity in terms of background and sexuality. Too many expats. - Secured career opportunities if you are HR's best friend - High staff turnaround rate

    Advice to Management

    - Do not just all "talks" but no action at all. - Hire good talented people and retain them; fire those who are bad, especially your management team. - HR should do the real work but not all talks. Don't think they ever do anything with exit interview.

I have been working at Danone full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - A great culture, built on strong team values, which positively nurtures talent - Strong ethical vision; our dual missions ensures every role is working towards a greater purpose - Mobility potential is amazing; being able to shift across business units, countries, and silos

    Cons

    - A collaborative culture can lead to a slower pace; there's a real need to learn agility - Global direction can be quite off from local needs; further, for a very diverse company, global leadership remains quite French

    Advice to Management

Globally - We must look to bring in expertise from across the business; not just across France. Locally - Continue to push to create a more agile environment, empowering us to achieve our ambitions.
