Pros

Salaried position with benefits and mileage reimbursement.

Cons

What started out as a great position completely turned into a logistical nightmare as new management, who started in May of 2025, completely destroyed the whole team of field asset coordinators, companywide. Salaried employees converted to hourly employees and the company refused to offer 40 hours guaranteed, claiming that there was no pay cut, not sure what else anyone would refer to that as. New management changing mileage reimbursement policy that would not compensate on return travel home between Charleston and Charlotte. New management requiring 20 tasks to be completed in one day, Charleston to Charlotte - 3.5 hours - 7 hour round trip. Not including drive time between tasks. Charleston to Atlanta - 5 hours - 10 hours round trip. 18 hour day and Darwin Homes refuses to pay for employee overnight hotel stay. Abrupt refusal to pay for over night hotel stay while requiring unreasonable drive time, expectation of tasks completely and refusal to reimburse for 190 miles to 280 miles. Completely ridiculous.

Pros

Remote work and a paycheck

Cons

There is very little ownership of responsibility at this company and often devolves into blaming others or refusing to take responsibility to actually make the process/company work. Sure it’s a paycheck but morale is terrible and many will throw others under the bus to save face or make themselves look better. Most of the day is spent either doing mindless tasks that are a waste of a highly compensated employees time or defending yourself against someone trying to place blame. Much of the tech is archaic and broken but it isn’t fixed for various reasons including the fact that it’s believed one team knows better than another. When suggestions are made on how to improve a process they are largely ignored. It doesn’t seem this company has any interest in improving or growing; just limping along until something??? happens. The little help that is hired is either offshore based or temporary only. If you are considering employment here, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.
