      Frustrating Micro-Management/Zero Leadership at Corporate HQ/Management by Intimidation/No career advancement

      Pros

      Dassault makes a fantastic aircraft with a straight and true airframe. Great pay for a single person with no family. Fantastic, low cost benefits even for full family coverage. Pension plan is paid for by company and is great to see as pensions are rare these days. Co-workers outside of management are fantastic and fun to work with day to day. Company picnic is great amd lots of fun. Exercise facility on site.

      Cons

      Headquartered in Teterboro NJ. High cost of living makes it near impossible to move to the area for a career. Property taxes are sky high....plan on $1,000 month minimum in taxes. Management is out of touch with lower employees and there is plenty of sabre rattling and intimidation on a daily basis. Many silos exist and software is extremely old and outdated with no solid training on how to use it. Sink or swim mentality. No career advancement opportunities and no recognition/mentoring of top employees--no succession planning for future leaders. Management is extremely stressed out day to day and will bark and bite at subordinates daily. Management does not know how to lead and do not trust anybody but themselves. Paranoia abounds.

      Not treated with the respect I deserved, low skill job

      Pros

      Easy work and relatively consistent, easy money. Drawing boxes in Catia.

      Cons

      Management is completely out of touch with what is happening. Favoritism is rampant, You need to be part of the club to moved up to leadership positions I've heard that the engineering department was "cleaned up" so maybe it is better now.
