Pros

Managed to attract very keen, bright employees in spite of internal corruption. Product & content library is impressive (reflects on employees, not management)

Cons

Extremely toxic working environment. Treacherous managerial level will (and has) closed ranks to protect C-Suite in serious incident of sexual misconduct. If you are a woman, an ally, or simply a person of any professional ethics, you do not want to work with this company (as an employee or as an external instructor).

Miserable place to work

Pros

Catered lunch, some really nice coworkers

Cons

- Excessive work responsibilities that have you working nights & weekends and unable to take any real time off (especially on the content team) - A workload that doesn’t serve to advance your career in data science. You will spend most of your time copy editing and chasing after external contractors to meet their deadlines. - Rampant, abrasive micromanagement. There is no room for variation, errors, learning or improvement. - Job responsibilities are a moving target. You will regularly have your day-to-day responsibilities change, and be held responsible if you don’t meet targets based on skills you were not hired for. - Frequent rewarding/promotion of employees who are known to bully their coworkers and subordinates.

Pros

Interesting people, solid product, nicely stocked kitchen

Cons

Poorly managed from top down, first time people-managers aren't trained or properly managed themselves, overworked and undervalued employees, inconsistent communication from leadership, lack of communication in general. Clear and obvious focus on "growth" rather than retaining current employees.
