Pros

I loved working with my team. They were hard-working, smart, and were always willing to help one another, especially me. I never worked at a company where fellow engineers went above and beyond to assist me like they did at DataRobot. My managers were also some of the nicest people I've ever come across. I hope one day to emulate their leadership and expertise.

Cons

It's hard to trust where leadership is taking this company. Ever since I joined, it's been layoffs after layoffs, and it takes away the morale of everyone at the company. You feel pressured to perform, so you can only hope that the next round of layoffs won't come for you because you didn't meet expectations.

Pros

* Hard working team: the quality + dedication of the individual contributors, managers, and directors in engineering is consistently admirable. People work very hard. * Lots of work for ICs to actually do. Never a dull moment for those of us who easily get bored.

Cons

* Everyone above the director level is asleep at the wheel. Leadership continuously makes bad bets or can't make key decisions on how to land+expand in a very crowded and noisy market. * Employees can expect about 5% of the staff to get laid off every 6 months with occasional larger RIFs. Our headcount is a fraction (which I am not allowed to post per Glassdoor rules) of what it was in 2022 when the former CEO had his first round of layoffs. The impacts are oblivious: we have almost no QA staff ; bugs make it to prod and impact customers. Engineering is busy since we have the workload of 2-3 people; We have less bandwidth to support customers when these bugs arise nor can we build features to keep up with our competitors.
