Pros

You will probably have a good chance of meeting and working with a great bunch of honest, talented and happy peers - most of your co-workers would be like that. These people will only be your peers though, and not management.

Cons

With the exception of the CTO, management consists of people who started this company to play "boss". Driving day-to-day workflow with personal sympathies and empathies, they don't hesitate to step on people and their so perceived (by them) weakness e.g. willing to work more to prove themselves. Please have a good read of the non-positive reviews in the eRevalue profile. This is the true profile of this company/entity, which owners have now denounced as the bad reviews kept coming over the course of all years of its existence.

Pros

I don't know if it is good or not

Cons

At the end of the week they ask you for a technical test for the beginning of the following week, you spend all Saturday and Sunday programming a simple app and when you expose it (and they seem to like it) they are not even to tell you that they are not interested or thank you for the effort. I don't know if it will be a good company or not, but it leaves a lot to be desired when the feedback is null.

Great people, poor management

Pros

Datamaran is full of people passionate about sustainability, who work hard and are committed to doing a great job for their team and clients. The product is good and the ESG space is exciting and growing rapidly.

Cons

The CEO drives their decisions based on personal feeling instead of data or best practice. They continually hire senior people based on their skills and experience, then undermine and disrespect them when their approach differs from their own opinion. Don't expect to be properly managed. The priorities and goal posts shift at a dizzying pace even for those well-versed in the pace of start-ups. Those within the "inner circle" are empowered to question and interfere, muddling progress and decision-making.
