Pros

The people at Davisware are, quite simply, wonderful. You would be hard-pressed to find a friendlier group at any employer (I am not exaggerating). It is a very talented group and colleagues are almost always supportive of one another. In many cases, this helps foster the sort of strong relationships with clients that have fueled the company's growth. The culture is hard-working yet casual and relaxed. The software itself, while not particularly user-friendly, nonetheless typically represents a significant improvement over the platforms Davisware's clients used to use, and is highly customizeable and feature-rich. Health insurance is excellent for a small company. Davisware's annual user conference is a fantastic event that helps build camaraderie with coworkers as well as clients. Management has been both approachable and accessible.

Cons

The software has grown somewhat organically over the years, with the company adding more client suggestions into the software than it probably should have. As a result, it is not intuitive and has a tendency to throw frustratingly cryptic errors. The GUI badly needs an overhaul. Particularly in light of the software's breadth and confusing nature, client-facing documentation and the Davisware Knowledge Base are sorely lacking. This hinders Davisware employees and clients alike. While great for increasing billable training hours, the lack of documentation is not good for long-term satisfaction. Employees are too often expected to be experts on every module of the system, which while a noble goal, simply isn't possible with a system so broad, and that in turn can lead to client frustration. One con to being a small company is that, while there isn't much hierarchy in place, there also isn't great opportunity for employee advancement.

Pros

The Vision platform they have to compete in the SMB Mid Market Space is great and product is putting alot of effort into it. Manager Level staff are great. Laid Back environment - Quotas are attainable. 50% of leadership and management are great to work with and the other 50 flounder.

Cons

Sales org leadership is very reactive rather than proactive. Sales org from Csuite down seems very reactive and not always on the same page which can cause cpnflict and confusion among the ranks. The onboarding to the sales org is poor despite sales managers and DOS doing their best with what has been provided. Lacks effective leadership at a VP level. Tendancy to implement things without a actual plan in place on how to execute and by what parameters. This then ends up being the AE's fault. Their Vision Software for the SMB/Mid Market is great their ERP Global Edge works and is a beast but feels like it is from 2004.
