Pros
I started from October 2013 and am leaving in August 2015. I've never met an intern who works here...but okay. When I started, there were a lot of people in upper management, but the only people who really had say were two very white guys on the east coast. In 2014, a lot of necessary changes were made in upper management. It has made De Well significantly more tolerable. One of the annoying girls from accounting has left and the other is more calm now. Benefits are great. 401k with up to 4% match of total paycheck. Great health insurance and full dental and vision. Basic life insurance is included. Additional insurance can be added per your request. Compensation is low but is definitely made up with the great benefits. There are opportunities to grow to. Current accounting manager & supervisor started out as basic accountants. I've seen a warehouse staff member become the receptionist then become accounts payable (a true Cinderella story). De Well is a great stepping stone. It is probably the biggest import/export company in China. Everyone in the logistics, transportation, warehouse, and import/export business knows De Well. De Well would survive through any economic downfall.
Cons
CEO is incredibly difficult to work with. Her name is Fran, not Kim Guo, who has been kicked out of De Well.A lot of office politics. A lot of drama and gossip. People here like to point fingers rather than take responsibility for their mistakes. People here also feel like they have to take someone down for their own person growth.
