Pros

A paycheck and some sales experience.

Cons

I can say with honesty that Dealer Specialties is hands down the worst company I have ever worked for. If you like to work like you are on salary and be paid on commission this is the place for you. You get 30% commission on every car you take pictures of which comes out to around 3 to 5 dollars in your pocket per car. Do the math. You are never going to make much money in this job. The amount of trouble you go through to get keys for each car is not worth it. Additionally, my management team was the most unprofessional group of people I have ever worked with. The upward and lateral movement in this company is also extremely limited. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company.

Pros

They have heat in the winter and AC in the summer. They have a paved parking lot with lights that come on when it's dark, and the air in the building contains genuine oxygen.

Cons

The people are shallow, money hungry, deceitful, narcissistic, smile while they stab you sorts. The pay is barely worth the constant criticism from the least talented of their staff, and if you don't immediately not only befriend a very, very select couple of people but do their work for them, they will paint a massive target on you. If you use words like efficacy around their technical management, you will be scolded for not speaking plainly. This is probably due in large part to the genetic shortcomings of people bred of the most iniquitous stock of humans who by all accounts never should have left the trees. Want to use your talents to make a change in the world? Give up, this company does nothing but perpetuate greed in an already vile industry whose standards fall just short of those held by cannibals and lawyers.

Pros

Working with dealers and creating relationships, plus plus is getting to drive all the vehicles.

Cons

Management makes contracts with dealerships then gets mad with the revenue is not up to par. We take the pictures of the vehicles available and when the company does not charge enough the revenu is down at no fault of the Field Techs who take the pictures. Then to have management manipulate Tech's hours to raise their revenues is a criminal offense. This is what happened and it needs to stop and I need to get the pay I was jipped. Next step is getting an attorney involved along with Federal Wage and Hour. They need to be investigated.
