Pros

There are some truly polite and friendly individuals on the customer service team, accounting team, creative team, and HR team.

Cons

The way the sales process works at this company is a pyramid scheme. From day 1 you are told lie after lie, made promise after promise, you are treated as if you are an ant on the bottom of somebodies shoe. Expect to be treated as an intern to 1. Take notes for those who don't want to take notes. 2. Make calls for those who don't want to make calls. 3. Book meetings for those who don't want to book their own meetings. Any professional experience that you have is irrelevant and will ultimately work against you in the long run. From the start they claim they are looking for individuals with "sales experience" in the "automotive digital marketing" industry. They say there is "employee stock" options and benefits. They do this because if they are upfront and honest about the role they are trying to fill they would not receive any applicants. You are expected to serve as a call center and absolutely nothing more. If you are the type of person who has no aspirations in life and are simply looking to collect a close to minimum wage paycheck then this is the role for you. Your day to day will consist of being talked down to and second guessed. Management will punish you for asking questions and attempting to learn more than the very little that you are "allowed". If you have any aspirations in sales then save your valuable time and energy and place your faith in a company that is honest and fair. There is no earning opportunity in this company as there is no sales role in this company. There is only one sales person and he is king. Anyone looking to become a sales person will be disrespected. The sales floor is a revolving door and they will tell you over and over that it is because they hired the "wrong people". After 20 "wrong people" you'd think they would begin some self reflection. Any effort or positive inquisition to improve on processes that have been failing for years will be your death sentence or freedom depending on how you look at it. You will be scrutinized for every action and inaction with no opportunity for explanation. Anybody looking to learn how to type, make phone calls, use an ancient CRM, and set dates and times into Microsoft Outlook, this is a great internship/starter job for you. If you are a person with any financial or career aspirations then save yourself the deceit and heartache of attempting to climb the pyramid scheme that is "inside sales" at DealerCMO. They have been making the same false claims for years and will continue to for years to come. Do not be surprised if/when this same review is left 5 years from now as there are no signs of change from years past. I am truly glad that I did not bring on all of my past clients as I had planned as there is truly nothing to be had here. If you plan to take advantage of this minimum wage call center role then my best advice to you would be 1. never speak your mind. 2. never aspire to learn or grow within this company. 3. never trust the people working around you. 4. always have a backup plan as there is no stability financially or emotionally. 5. Evaluate your other options as you deserve more than to be treated as a call center robot especially when there are so many more career opportunities in this area especially during this economic boom.
