      Pros

      Good, hard-working people. focused on client service and quality. Average compensation when compared to others of similar size.

      Cons

      No defined career path; quite a few employees leave after a few years of experience to accept a position with a client of the firm; No work-life balance - you are on call 24/7 for support to client and Firm demands; Teamwork lacks, cross team communication/ interaction is non-existent; Employee reviews are a joke - there are no defined expectations or goals to encourage employee engagement.

      Pros

      Great fit for you if you're a self-starter, willing to ask for the next assignment, & especially if you have some OCD tendencies. Hard work expected but fairly flexible. Very few micro-managers, free to do your work without having to look over your shoulder. Unlimited opportunities to move up or around in the company. Good benefits & HSA contribution. Good PTO policy. Paid maternity leave policy. Several charity/community outreach opportunities throughout the year.

      Cons

      Significantly better PTO for salaried employees. Takes hourly employees 5 yrs to increase PTO days. 2.5% max 401K match. Lower pay rates than in private accounting (but the flexibility, job security, benefits, etc. are worth it).

      Flexible work arrangements. Solid leadership structure. Great consulting practice.

      Cons

      Pay is a bit low overall. Communication can fall apart if you're not in audit or tax.
