      Loved helping clients. Hated dealing with the high school drama!

      Pros

      Helping people, decent pay, benefits and work hours. HR is awesome and there for you if you ever need them. Have your own office to stay in to avoid the high school drama.

      Cons

      Boss is in New York and has no idea what is going on in the other offices. Also if the boss has a performance issue with you she goes to the other counselor and tells them first. Place is like high school, lots a talking behind people's backs. Employees are advised not to talk to each other.

      Pros

      Relaxed and friendly work environment. Emphasis on helping the customer and doing the right thing for them. You have your own space and are given the freedom to do your job your own way, as long as the results are positive.

      Cons

      The company keeps spending large sums of money upgrading the hardware, software, phone systems and website and none of them ever become 100% complete or fully operational. Meanwhile, due to quarterly financial reviews (after all the expensive upgrades) they have to lay off employees.

      Working with clients to eliminate debt was rewarding.

      Cons

      Poor training, too many people telling you what to do so nothing was consistent. Management treated workers poorly, even yelling at them.
