Culture supports flexibility, but bureaucracy and favoritism prevail
Pros
- CEO is chill and very mature. - The culture is good, there is no strictness about timings or days. - You can come and leave anytime(most of the cases), or choose not to come at all. - Day 1 access to things that will go to production. - If you are good at politics you can do nothing yet get everything. And can keep on surviving.
Cons
- Lot of bureaucracy, hierarchy and politics have been started since CTO left and new leadership(VP & EM) started handling things. - Very high attrition rate due to couple of mix factors including above reason in recent months for e.g. The oldest employee in Fabric Pod is 10 month old with entire team being replaced in last couple of months and in just last 3 months at least another 3-5 people have left across the organisation. - These so called new leadership are totally unaware of what's actually happening in the company. And for every problem and whoever reaches out to them they send them back to root. Raising an issue about your manager, for example, often just results in being sent back to that same manager. - Just the people who are directly reporting them are being favored upon, while others are expected to follow processes. Just because it took you 7 years for something, now they want everyone to spend same time to get there doesn't matter how performative you are. - Additionally, there is just groupism, favoritsm with some people who are good at sucking with these 2 guys, are handed over important projects and while others are slowly sidelined. - Infrastructure is like bandaid, everything keeps breaking in every couple of months and you're expected to fix their sins by being available until 3-4 in the morning. - Keep getting notices from GST/ED at the premise. Sometimes you'd feel like you're working in a scam center than a YC backed company. - Keep switching the offices like in last 1 month, 3 offices have been changed and employees are being made to run as if they have done anything wrong while the other cofounder remains underground and is not seen since.
