Pros

Good work culture. Good people to be around.

Cons

Poor management, people get shifted around projects way too frequently, which leaves either less or more work to go around project. Low non-competitive salary for even the Honolulu market.

Pros

TLDR: Overall chill and friendly environment that's very comfy and stress free. There is room for professional development and folks that will help you achieve your goals. - Very chill atmosphere. There are is a lot of flexibility when it comes to when you start your day, if you have last minute obligations that will need you to be away from work, etc. - Work-life balance is perfect. No one is expecting you to work overtime, in fact its discouraged even in some instances where deadlines are tight. - Work can be busy, but no where near stressful. - Respectful and often talented and hardworking co-workers. There are people who care about the quality they provide here, but people are still very kind, understanding, and patient. - Tech Lead for my team is very dedicated to the professional growth of the software engineers they oversee. This leads to goals being met, skills being acquired, all which are telegraphed to upper management. - Very good office space which includes access to dual QHD monitors. Air condition is cool and the overall vibe is very chill and free of noise or distractions. - Good set of complimentary benefits, such as gym membership reimbursement, paid office parking.

Cons

- Par for the course salary for average Hawaii tech company, which means still lower than most mainland options. Not necessarily a con (when working in Hawaii), but don't expect very high salaries being offered. - Tech-wise, there are some areas where newer versions of framework/language can be used. Updates occur, but they aren't frequent so don't expect to be on the latest and greatest version of C# or .NET in some instances.
