Pros

Great flexibility and understanding with work/life balance and wfh options Work with awesome people

Cons

Senior leadership claims to be employee engagement experts, but they are terrible at actually practicing it. They make huge impactful decisions with no warning or consideration for employees. Serious lack of diversity. The CEO doesn’t care about what’s best for the company, he just wants to look good and make his money

Pros

Everyone at DW would agree that the people are the best part. Everyone there is inspiring, smart, driven, capable, friendly, kind, and ambitious.

Cons

As a leadership development organization that specializes in employee engagement, they don't live what they believe as genuinely as I had expected or hoped. We didn't use most of our own products/services, and we were more often than not in survival mode which makes growth, meaning, and innovation difficult to come by.

Not a bad place to start your career

Pros

DW hires a lot of recent grads, and as a brand-new employee you get real assignments with clients pretty much from day 1. It's a small company, so you get to know everyone and learn from your more experienced peers. This is probably a good resume builder.

Cons

DW is trying to figure out what it wants to be when it grows up. It has big league aspirations, but it's not there yet (despite the PR). There is some politics and the culture isn't the healthiest. The people practices are far from world class. For more experienced professionals, you'll get lots of autonomy, but to the point of abandonment and unclear direction. Your innovative ideas won't be warmly embraced unless they lead directly to sales/revenue; instead, you'll be expected to toe the company line and deliver.
