Unfortunately, the predominantly all-white leadership at this organization, which claims to 'Humanize the Immigrant Narrative,' has contributed to an environment that has driven many valued staff members to leave. If you are a person of color, I recommend considering other opportunities for your psychological safety and professional development. Reports indicate a lack of professional boundaries, ongoing microaggressions, and insufficient HR or safe reporting processes. The leadership team appears to have personal ties to the founder, Jose, which may impact workplace dynamics. Additionally, it seems that the limited number of long-term employees often have close connections with the founder, potentially influencing hiring decisions for leadership roles and restricting opportunities for people of color. For instance, the organization hired a white Executive Director despite staff concerns; this individual had limited experience in narrative change and left after a few months. Similarly, the Vice President and Communications Director positions were filled or promoted from within by known associates and friends of the founder. The absence of a staff page on the current website may serve to obscure the racial and power dynamics within the organization.

For reasons too honest and too dire that would grant this review to be taken down from Glassdoor, I will simply say, things are absolutely not what it seems with this organization.
