Pros

The employees in the department were very nice. They all gave advice to assist you in getting hired. The college has wonderful benefits only if you can make it past your probationary period which the director will let you go whenever she feels like it.

Cons

The director has poor communication standards. She has no sympathy in letting someone go, no matter how hard they work. If you don't follow her MISGUIDED direction she will let you go almost immediately, with no hesitation. Even if you were just trying to be a team player, which they preach about when you get hired. It's like this... what she says goes and what she says can sometimes be the only guess you have in your head. good luck!

Pros

Great colleagues and students, (mostly) caring community feeling, beautiful campus, decent benefits package. Despite all the Cons listed below, faculty and staff work hard to do an outstanding job of delivering a great education to DelVal's students. Very happy to see new leadership in the president's office.

Cons

The former president's goal of achieving university status overwhelmed the organization's capital and human resources, faculty and staff that survived the transition are exhausted. Morale is very low overall. The relationship between faculty and administration is not what it could and should be. Staff keeps their mouths shut for fear of losing their jobs. A few individuals in key upper management positions were allowed to create a culture of fear, discouragement and frustration, thereby making a mockery of DelVal's "Core Values."

Pros

None!!! Horrible place to work !!!

Cons

This college struggles with diversity ... One of the worst places I ever worked .. The racism was unreal at this company, and they didn't mind letting me know I was not wanted in the department ...
