Pros

Benefits, pay is good, positive environment. You have good work/life balance. You are part of a big family.

Cons

Cant really think of any cons. The building could be updated. The club has a history of over 130 years old and a landmark in Denver.

Greedy, sexist and all around poor management!

Pros

With this job, as long as you bow your head down and take any commands from managers, you'll always have job security! Just be sure to not question anything or point out legality of practices.

Cons

Oh, where can I begin? First of all, most positions start between $10 and $11 per hour. You could literally walk in to GoodTimes Burgers and start at higher wages. Are you a male? Need not apply, sexist management prefers pretty women only. Speaking of sexism, there are mens-only portions of the club still because this is apparently 1918 and not 2018. Managers are petty and love to gossip, pent employees against each other, and mistreat any employee that does not kiss their feet. My first week there I could tell what manager liked who based on serving sections, schedule, etc. If you want to be hired part-time be prepared to open with 24/7 availability including weekends and holidays. Requests off are frequently denied and calling in sick is absolutely unacceptable. Unless you can find someone to cover although with the staffing you'll typically see 80% or more of employees in on any given night. Have fun showing up sick! They need you, ya know? But also, you're expendable. If you expect to make money here, think again. Rich people do not tip and the club is not transparent with members about dinner tips. All members have 20% gratuity added to DINNER bills ONLY, with a whole 16% going to servers and the remaining 5% split four ways. Don't hold your breath expecting members to give you additional gratuity. Oh, and don't expect a raise. If anything, you'll experience performance punishment. Only the most obedient and feeble should apply!

Pros

The membership is amazing. The work space is gorgeous, I felt so privileged to be art of the DCC team. I have many fond memories of DCC and many of the members.

Cons

None really- not really a lot of room for growth.
