Pros

*This is NOT an old, white dudes club. Diverse and interesting people are welcome and invited. *Tattoo, blue hair and piercing friendly culture (within reason). Again, this is not a culture of stuffy, close-minded people. *Positive environment and pleasant coworkers. *The CTO and other higher-ups are career launchers. They're great at talent spotting and quick to act for those that are hard-working and willing to learn. *Education is valued and encouraged. I have been making good use of their tuition reimbursement policy. Design Ready Controls is also the recipient of the PIPELINE grant. If you want help to continue school, they'll find it for you. *Great community involvement--such as The Manufacturers Consortium --provide many opportunities and connections for young people starting their careers. *Design Ready Controls is growing and expanding rapidly which provides a lot of new opportunities for hire or promotion. (I started in production and am now in Marketing.) *Many interns return to full-time positions. *Referral bonuses. *Lots of cool, new tech to play with. *Beautiful, top-of-the-line new building with nature-friendly grounds. Lots of natural daylight in the office and production. *Culture of wellness: company sponsors events such as Rugged Maniac and The Movement Lab.

Cons

*Some growing pains. Due to rapid expansion, not every process is nailed down. This continual improvement may not be the best environment for those that can only do things one way or are resistant to change. *High expectations (both a pro and con) to work hard and learn well. No floating by. *Production workers can have it strict. At times I felt like a second-class citizen. That said, I was also promoted and encouraged to attend continue my education. *Pay is fair but not amazing.
