Pros

Deep pockets from founders so it’s well funded

Cons

Where do I start, if you’re in product or engineering you might be having a reasonable time, but if you actually have to sell the product, I hope you have some money saved up as it’s likely you won’t see much in terms of commissions. The product direction and focus shifts ever 3 months, they are now trying to retrofit what they had already built and didn’t land with customers to a new offering and trying to invent differentiators on the fly. Innovation is severely behind competitors who are building at a much faster rate, and the product itself is constantly breaking for customers that have actually signed on. However there is a great degree of internal overconfidence/arrogance whilst being completely unaware of how far ahead competitors are, and how little prospective customers know or care about devrev

Appreciate the candid feedback, it's always worth hearing. That said, a few points here don't reflect what's actually happening. Our product direction is grounded in a clear long-term vision, shaped by continuous customer input and not resetting every few months. And we're shipping at a pace that I'd put up against anyone in the space. Sales variability is real at any scaling company, and we're actively addressing it through better positioning, product clarity, and enablement. Reliability and alignment are ongoing priorities — not things we've overlooked. There are real channels for feedback internally, and they're actively used. We're focused on building, improving, and closing gaps honestly.

Pros

Some are nice people and they are trying to help

Cons

Lack of honour and transparency especially in the recruiting process. Some of them do not even read the resumes and then they come to conclussions like: you are overqualified - which by the way can be easily observed if they have read the resume - or you might not fit the current expectations. Lack of proper communications and setup for interviews : wrong times, wrong invites, etc

Pros

I would strongly advise not working here. I read the previous reviews and they do not paint an accurate picture for sales at DevRev. Activity wise, they want you making 100 -150 touch points per day (Calls, emails and linkedin) AND they wanted everything to be personalized. Hilarious. Fun fact, if you do all this, they will still ask you why your call volume is down. Pretty much all leads go to the territories CA and NY, I saw an internal email showing this. They let me go hustle and progress which I knew was a lie because I was consistently #1 or #2 for outbounding every week and everyone else besides one person had no deals just like myself. I have a feeling my new boss spun my words to the founders orI said something they didn't like, but they only gave me a 6 minute phone conversation before letting me go and no exit interview. The product is not built out, has no competitive advantages (even the founders couldn't give us one during a founders chat) and no brand recognition. In all honesty, I'm glad to not be working there anymore but the way they did it by lying and only giving 6 minutes out of the blue is unprofessional. Stay away from here unless you need a paycheck!

Cons

Leadership will blame sales for no deals when the product isn't good enough to sell, almost all of their deals are from the founders network which is a giant red flag (not enough external need for the product), no competitive advantages. Leadership will change their mind every week. We changed territories 3 times in a month in a half. Save yourself the worry and don't apply.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this feedback after we parted ways. We wish you had done this during your stay, as we are constantly trying to improve. Building new companies is messy, and we hope that the builders we hire bring that courage and candor — bringing their whole self — to work. We appreciate your sacrifices and hard work nonetheless.
