- Salaries are lower than the rest of the industry, and management will tell you that there's a value in being in Lavaltrie compared to Montreal.
- The bonus structure is only based on company performance and everyone gets the same bonus (based on years in the company). This does not incentivize giving your 100% and is absolutely reflected in people's work.
- Management has a hard time with change. Improving processes, which would guarantee a high quality output is not a priority. Some work is being done but the company is growing too quickly for its own good.
- No rigorous testing is being done on new releases, causing a ton of regressions and unhappy clients. Automation would help, but that means changing processes and ways of doing things.
- RDM (the main product) is the leader in its niche, and I'm afraid that clients simply have no choice but to buy our product. Don't get me wrong, it does solve a big problem and customers are generally happy. That being said, there's not enough thought put into the quality of the output. This puts a huge amount of stress and anxiety on the developers and most importantly on the support team.
