Pros

A number of excellent, motivated people still in the business. Some senior and middle management are very capable. Pay is good as most staff are on rates from GUD ownership days.

Cons

Owner highly involved in the day to day running of the business and does not appreciate advise from anyone despite evidence that his decisions are adversely impacting the business performance. Job security is poor with regular rounds of layoffs continuing in Australia. Relationship with independent supply centres has been deteriorating since the takeover and will likely result in further business decline. Good people aforementioned in "Pro's" are gradually leaving the organisation.
