Inexperienced and delusional leadership

Pros

Colleagues are friendly and the office is close to central station.

Cons

Leadership in this company is delusional and inexperienced. There is a lack of clear direction and strategic planning, with decisions being made impulsively and without proper consideration of the consequences. This lack of effective leadership has resulted in a disorganized and chaotic work environment, leaving employees feeling unhappy and undervalued. You should not expect to be hired as an expert, as the leadership often disregards input from knowledgeable staff and believes they know better. There appears to be a recurring pattern of laying off staff, without fully comprehending the significance of these individuals to the company, including their skills and tenure within the organization. Employees can feel secure in the company one day, only to be unexpectedly terminated the next day. I would not recommend this workplace.

AVOID THIS PLACE!

Pros

Unfortunately- no Pros. I would have said the team (everyone besides the leadership) but even they are looking for new jobs or about to quit.

Cons

Working at Diet Doctor has been an exercise in enduring unparalleled levels of narcissism and disdain from the leadership. Andreas (the CEO), the founder, is the archetype of a self-absorbed leader, seemingly lacking even a shred of self-awareness or empathy. His bold declaration that he doesn’t care about anyone's feelings, coupled with his imperious "my way or the highway" mentality, paints a bleak picture of the company's future. The CTO and brother of Andreas, on the other hand, could be best described as the silent enabler. His deafening silence in the face of his brother's blatant disregard for employee well-being makes him equally culpable. It's baffling that two such figures hold the reins of leadership in a company where morale and unity are paramount. The recent layoffs were a devastating blow to many, and rather than offering solace or understanding, Andreas's response was both cold and dismissive. His inability to show even a modicum of compassion underscores his complete detachment from the very people that drive his business. It's one thing to lead with authority, but it's entirely another to lead with arrogance and cruelty. Diet Doctor, under its current leadership, is a sinking ship, helmed by individuals seemingly devoid of basic human decency. Anyone considering a role here should think twice – no job is worth sacrificing one's self-respect and dignity. How our current investors (who all have a reputation they should protect) can even read any of this and stick behind this terrible leader is beyond me and it’s sickening! As people leave and the company will naturally need to replace us, I hope this message served as a beacon for others to avoid this place!

Sociopathic leadership, blatant discrimination

Pros

As brilliant and kind as my coworkers were, the toxicity, stress, and chaos from leadership overshadowed my experience.

Cons

I have never experienced such an unethical and poorly run company. While the external mission is to "change lives" for the better, the unspoken internal mission was to destroy lives. Rampant discrimination against women, proven by an employee-led internal research report. It was dismissed by Sr. Management and proven with a first round of layoffs of all the mothers with children at the company, no matter tenure, performance, or team. This was followed soon after by a wave of layoffs of Sr. Staff, most of which had built the organization. The CEO only cares about his own reputation and saving his company, he is incapable of empathy. The actions taken by this company are not representative of Swedish work culture, I don't know how they keep getting away with this year after year. It needs to be stopped. In fact, many former employees have tried to file cases with the Union, but somehow they keep being shut down or silenced.
