As a company, we take very seriously the responsibility we have to protect our employees from any illegal retaliation, harassment, discrimination, or workplace hostility. When someone is accused of such things, we make a dedicated effort to ensure our leaders are treating employees well. While we will not comment openly about any particular investigations or individuals involved in an investigation, we do want people to understand that we have an environment in which nobody is "above the law", and when concerns are brought about such things, we investigate without partiality regardless of a person's position. We hope potential employees will understand this unfortunately means that over the years we've taken action in ways that may stir up some negative comments online from those who we hold accountable for their own actions. We do these things for the overall safety and well-being of our teams.

We believe it's important to find the right people to work with a team. Our production manager is a good person who values hard work and people who want to be on the team. He is direct but not harsh, and makes known the goals and expectations for the production/warehouse team. While those who have never had experience on a production team may find it challenging, individuals who are willing to learn and grow into being part of a successful production *team* tend to appreciate his methods. Both the production supervisor and manager are patient and understanding toward those who are willing to learn.

Pros

Mostly friendly environment, except for a few oddballs that get a pass because they've been there so long or have some relationship with management. Reasonable cafeteria prices for snacks. Safety has greatly improved in recent years.

Cons

Company culture against transparency in pay, and only irregular performance reviews. People asking for raises, even the MVPs, often get the runaround. Can't keep a cafeteria lead because of poor morale and compensation. As a result, the cafe is understocked and there is no longer hot food available in the kitchen. Employee recognition programs usually take the form of $5 gift cards, company scrip, or company merchandise.

In late 2018, we restored the cafe to full operation - fresh and hot meals prepared daily! Our healthy options have increased, and fruit is replenished at the beginning of each week. Thanks for taking the time to offer very helpful feedback!
