Pros

Great co workers. The employees really care about the patients and for the most part are very committed, hard working good people.

Cons

Lets be clear loved my job and I have been a consistent top performer. This is NOT sour grapes. Sales is money I get it. Diplomat pays under industry so unless you live in Flint your pay/benefits are way under par. Many accounts lost. Oncology is the only saving grace. Downsizing due to budget cuts!? Purchased/acquired multiple companies for BILLIONS. Hit with DIR fees, falsification of earnings, shareholders suing. Is this just the price of doing business? What started out as a great company disintegrated in mid 2016. Chaos/discord in every aspect of doing business from management to operation to HR. The focus is very much on acquisition, understandable for survival, however the foundation of Diplomat is very unstable. Employees as well as service has suffered. Many accounts lost. Mandated now to other SP

USED TO BE A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

Pros

Diplomat is a good starter company if you are entering the pharmacy world. Good lunch vendors. *Some* management is okay.

Cons

NO work/life balance, you can only miss 3 times in a year. They do not care if you are sick, if your child is sick, if you get into a car accident on the way to work, if you broke your foot, etc. If you are not at work you get an occurrence. Most Management does not listen to their employees. I get it, you can't please everyone but when the majority of your employees are offering the same suggestions to improve the workplace, then you need to make changes. The pay is below industry standard for any other specialty pharmacy. Diplomat is the LARGEST independent specialty pharmacy who makes MILLIONS (even after all the bills and fees are paid). There's no reason why we should not be paid decently!

Pros

Good lunch vendors Weekends off Able to help people in need if you do it under 30 seconds.

Cons

Management consistently looking for petty new rules to lower quality of life for employees. They do not promote based on skill, this is a popularity contest. Heavy Favoritism in the company. You are always under the "watchful eye" of leads and supervisors and hounded 24/7. Be prepared for threats of termination over the smallest errors. Brand new lights in the building really emphasized how disgusting the building is. Very poor job security, constantly under stress. Their only goal is cutting costs and meeting metrics, the patient is not #1 priority here. Everything is an "occurrence". Do not trust any other employees, they will stab you in the back any chance they get to get management to like them more. Employees complained about not having enough help, yet management would not push any part time to full time.
