Pros

Really, there are no pros about working at this company!!! Pay checks never bounced, but that's about it. Overall it's just not a positive environment.

Cons

The owner is a dictator and has perfected the blame game on to her employees. She makes unrealistic promises to clients and when they are not delivered, because they can't be, she blames the staff. No training. Owner totally micro manages. Also not often in the office. She also has a temper. Makes up commissions then forgets what they are as nothing is written down. Owners husband oversees HR which is difficult. All "positive" posts about this company on this site are written by owner of husband. Parking is in the street...if you can find it. Minimal flexibility. Just say NO to joining this company. Employee turnover is high.

Direct Results Response

This simply is not true. Direct Results hosts a formal training program for all new employees and encourages participation in company bi-monthly educational opportunities. We have several long-term, happy employees. Additionally, we just completed a client survey that ranks Direct Results at 96 % for meeting goals, being team players, etc (available upon request!) . I would encourage anyone considering a job with Direct Results to call the company, dial any random extension and talk to whomever answers the phone about culture, opportunity and anything you'd like to know about Direct Results.

Acceptable for a stopgap position.

Pros

Lunch are often provided during meetings.

Cons

Employees are asked to take out the trash nightly and do the dishes, a highly unprofessional requirement of a sales position in my opinion. If the company is as successful as the CEO led everyone to believe, couldn't we afford a nightly cleaning person? Company direction changes on a daily-basis. Clear favoritism among the CEO and upper management. CEO often screams, yells, and lose her temper when someone does not agree with her or stand up for their own beliefs. An utterly lack respect for the employees from the CEO. The spouse of the CEO oversees anything HR-related, a huge conflict of interests. Employees are asked to much in long hours without being paid overtime.

Pros

They flew us out to LA for their Holiday party, which was pretty cool, and I had some celebrity sightings because the New York office shares space with Hot 97.

Cons

Some of the supervisors use the fact that they are friends with the CEO and there is no in-house HR department to abuse their power. They don't acknowledge when you stay HOURS late literally entering data from document to another. They don't respect the fact that sometimes, you CAN'T stay HOURS late because you have to catch a bus to see your family for the HOLIDAYS! They make up rules whenever they feel like it but these rules only apply to certain people and not to others. As a matter of fact, they don't follow their own rules. As a formality, they'll say "feel free to ask questions" but when you do, they'll give you dirty looks. They don't give you clear instructions on what needs to be done but they expect you to magically know how to do it.
