Pros

- co workers are nice and come from a variety of backgrounds so make it socially interesting. -products are interesting and clients are prestigious -some managers will try to help you with career prospects -office is in a good location for independent coffee shops etc - you can travel if you are interested in doing so

Cons

-backstabbing is common place -elements of bullying with some staff -technical team are squashed into one floor, while significant space is given to smaller teams -clients are over promised results which others then have to deliver -policies are basic (20 days of holiday, maternity, paternity at minimum etc) -favouritism is rife -pay rises are minimal and bonus' are handed out to some staff, not all -senior management favour shouting you down if they don't like what you say

Chaotic mismanagement across the organisation

Pros

Meet some great people Some interesting technology being used

Cons

Completely disorganised and chaotic approach to product development.  Majority of work entails firefighting software bugs that occur because of the company's chaotic approach to product development.  Deadlines changed without warning by the executive team. Explanations for this aren't provided.  The business and technology sides of the company see themselves as separate - very divisive atmosphere within the company. Over half of the company's middle management disappeared within the course of a month. Absolutely no thought is given to the impact this has on those teams. Turnover is increasing as a result.  - Training budgets randomly get pulled without any explanation.- Abusive atmosphere within certain teams because of incompetent managers.   - Lots of projects are abandoned halfway through. This damages morale within the teams.
