      A company that is constantly improving

      Pros

      During the years I spent there, most people was friendly, the work environment was becoming more global every year and the management was actively pushing towards this. They allowed remote work and flexible working hours. Some foreigners were using this to work from their home countries for a few weeks a year. Since the company is relatively small, we were working side by side with other teams and learning from them. The management was constantly looking for innovative ideas to integrate with their main product.

      Cons

      The onboarding process was not the best, but they have been improving it over the years. It's normal to feel a bit lost during a couple of weeks until you get assigned to a project and tasks get more interesting and meaningful.

      Very close to the station.

      Cons

      The founder/boss has a closed mind and is not willing to learn from his employees. His mentality is just to hire people to work from him, instead of with him. Also, the company does not offer real accessibility of career, there is none willingness of shared ownership, zero onboarding making feel you unwelcomed and some of the senior developers are talentless and arrogant. This is also a reflection of the boss managing style since he does not bother to take part in team bonding whatsoever. If you are a junior, stay away: you'll be moulded with incredible incompetence and a toxic environment. If you are mid or senior, Tokyo has really way much more to offer you. Diverta is not the place you'll ever need in your life.

      Decent starting salary (5mln yen yearly with bonus)

      Cons

      They don't provide nor believe in any welcoming or onboarding. Boss is arrogant especially with things he does not understand or even know. Stay away.

On the other hand, we hired only one Frontend Developer on Oct 20, 2020, and he is Japanese. I wonder who posted this comment.
