Pros

Amazing management, positive and supportive culture, higher-ups were accessible, opportunities for career growth, and "done by 1" Fridays

Cons

Long hours (7-5pm, M-Th), short lunches, traffic was killer if you live far, low base-pay w/ high pressure for sales, stressful, sometimes atmosphere felt too unprofessional, pressure to be "close-knit" with coworkers was suffocating

Thanks for your contribution! We will continually strive to be accessible and available to everyone and build an environment which provides for career and professional growth. I am a bit disappointed that you expressed so many areas for improvement since you and I discussed in our exit interview and many of these concerns were not brought up. Not that this would change the situation but this was something we have been working on very diligently over the last 6 months and I want to clarify some of these items since potential new applicants need to have full information. The hours are something that early team members were involved in its selection especially since we get done at 1pm on Friday. Additionally, once someone reaches the position of Senior Business Development Representative (between 5-7 months), you have the option to work 7a-4pm (Mon-Thu) with 1hr lunches while getting done at 1pm on Friday as long as you are within your sales targets. Both the hours and base pay (which also increases progressively; 37% higher from trainee to Senior Business Development) are disclosed ahead of time and we specifically ask that you review these to see if its a fit for you. Sales can be fun and rewarding and can be stressful. It really depends on an individual and whether they want to pursue it as a career. We run an anonymous survey every month so if there was anything that was unprofessional it should be brought up so that we can react to it. We have an excellent and very involved sales management team and they are on top of things so it is everyone's responsibility to communicate. Sales is also a team effort and with that comes team building events. We don't mandate people to attend team events and we do encourage that you get to know your co-workers. We will not change that aspect of our culture and in fact will only improve ways that the teams get to know more. Once again, I do want to thank you for all your contributions and wish you continued success!

Pros

It seems like a great time to get in with the company.. if you want to get into sales and cold calling and LOVE challenging yourself with putting in 10 hour work days and are hungry to be the best.. it’ll pay off here and you’ll fit in great!

Cons

If you’re somebody who needs to balance something like your mental well-being or just a work life balance in general this may not be for you. It wasn’t for me. They have a “be your best self” mentality and to them that means make x amount of sales in x amount of time and we drink at work to celebrate. So if in your free time you like to do things to actually improve yourself like workout, meditate, read something that isn’t their homework.. or if you don’t drink, it may not be a right fit.

Thank you for your feedback! I realize your tenure was only a few days which doesn't allow for much time to see our culture but hopefully you got to experience some aspects of how we operate. Sales is extremely hard and we take pride in developing our employees for those who choose to pursue it as a career while creating an environment that celebrates these moments. You are correct that it is not for everyone. It requires commitment, hard work, perseverance and laser focus and since I meet every new hire you heard that from me on your first day at Doctible along with our training manager. I wanted to clarify couple of items: a. Hours: Our current schedule was voted in by employees and we talk about it during the interview process. We work more Monday-Thursday (with plenty of opportunities to leave early as you start unlocking perks) so that we can get done at 1pm on Fridays. No one is expected to work after hours or weekends and we care about work-life balance. b. "Be your best self" mentality: I certainly think that is important to have this mindset to be successful because the job is hard so we have to be positive in order to inspire the people around us. Realizing that people do have tough days/weeks, our managers are there for support and to ensure you are not doing this by yourself and help you get past these peaks and valleys. c. Drink at work: This was at the request of our employees that we celebrate wins. So if we do hit our weekly goals, we crack open a can of beer (or white claw sometimes) right before closing the doors at 1pm on Friday. I am fine with that since no one is obligated to drink. I wish you the best for your future endeavors and thanks again for the feedback.

Pros

Steve Weber is a solid dude to work with. Pizza and bagels, coffee is decent. The dress code is pretty casual.

Cons

Short lunch, old methods that doesn’t work anymore, only a couple employs making decent money. Other companies out there already doing what they’re doing but 1000x better, company will never turn a profit.

Thanks for the feedback. This is a tough one. It looks like you are unhappy with the company, the sales process, the pay, the product and our prospects of staying in business. That does not seem like a situation that anyone should be in and I take responsibility for it. The pizza and dress code should not be the reasons why someone comes to work at Doctible. However, there are some items I do need to clarify: Pay: We talk about pay numerous times before anyone is recruited and there are multiple employees who have hit the tier bonus as per the schedule we have discussed during recruiting. I am going to assume that you incorrectly marked the "more than a year" since anyone over a year is on the highest level of comp plan. As I do mention in another comment, if someone is not meeting their bonuses consistently, then unfortunately the individual is not performing. The base salary increases by 37% for someone if they just performed at base level in ~5 months or less. Old methods: This one is surprising. If you are a current employee, you know that we had our best month ever in June in the sales team and we are growing rapidly month over month. Product: I'd take a challenge on this one since customer success and product is something I am extremely passionate about. Are there competitors? Absolutely. Do they do a great job? Absolutely. Competition pushes us all to be better. 1000x? Let's talk. Lastly, about the company never turning a profit: Don't worry, I'm on it.
