Pros

- Co-workers were fantastic, motivating, and created a fun environment. - A lot of awesome women in executive roles and throughout the company, which was really great to be part of. - This job will provide you with great experience that can be transferred to new roles. Great job to have right out of college but if you're looking to be a long-term recruiter, I'd suggest finding a better paying role at another agency or company. - Overall, the people were great and the work was relatively easy.

Cons

- Paying someone $15/hr to be a recruiter as temp-to-hire is incredibly low, and this is fairly obvious and widely understood there. However, even paying your salaried recruiters less than $40k is absurd, and paying your Senior Recruiters less than $40k without commission is even more astounding. People either don't know their other options or underestimate their worth. - Expectations and goals were not clear for individuals, offices, or branches. It's something that should have been executed a long time ago. - Old-fashioned corporate culture. - Career opportunities seemed scarce as a recruiter, unless people quit. - Benefits were mediocre. PTO offered was far less than average companies. - Long hours and recruiters do not have the ability to work from home. - Did not feel valued here as an employee and did not received any feedback from management. Top Talent recruiters did a lot of work and deserve more recognition. Career Solutions recruiters don't seem to know how to do basic parts of their job and ask Top Talent recruiters to do it for them. - Little diversity throughout the company.

Pros

-Fun people and small business environment. -They teach their recruiters and sales people a good foundation of skills to be successful. -They take chances on college grads who don't have previous corporate experience. -You can slack during lunch while your managers take 2-3 hours to make personal calls, eat with other upper management, or work out at the gym. -Good work life balance, you won't be asked to come in on weekends or work later than 6pm. -Company isn't going anywhere, they are financially stable.

Cons

-The salary is a joke, lower than every other Administrative-based staffing agency (think Aerotek, Prostaff, Masterson). The offer a whopping $12-14 to start out of college, then increase you to $15 once you are 'hired on'. -We are expected to work like crazy for commissions around $200 per quarter! -They hire the recruiters based on PI's -not from recommendations or actual experience, thus you get stuck with a bunch of aggressive, snarky people in one room. These people will gossip about everything under the sun, they will exploit every personal detail you tell them to the entire company. I have listened to hundreds of personal stories about others while working here, it doesn't matter if you work in the same office or across the metro the whole lower half of the company knows what you do on the weekends and who you are dating, etc. -They also promote people based on time with company, NOT based on talent or worthiness to the company. Its a "put in your time/pay your dues" company and that amount is years and years before you start to see any of your worth pay off. -The turnover rate is mediocre, people aren't in/out in under a year, its more like 2-3 years but when you look at the fact that some people make a career being a recruiter (at much larger corporations) the turnover rate looks high here.

Pros

Decent first work experience out of college if you’re interested in exploring a career in recruiting and HR functions. Great coworkers - they truly become your family if you get into a good office. Some senior staff are phenomenal and should be applauded for everything they have done over the years.

Cons

- The biggest issue with this company is pay. It is absolutely ridiculous how much you underpay your recruiters. Robert Half and Kelly Services offer entry recruiters $45k-50k base and senior recruiters here don’t even make that. - Retention - this goes along with pay. It’s like a revolving door. You’re considered senior amongst recruiters if you make it to a year. - Incompetent sales team - actually TRAIN your sales reps and offer them true guidance. They don’t know what they’re doing. Better yet, hire EXPERIENCED sales reps. Recruiters get blamed for not filling positions but it’s difficult when you only get $12/hr call center gigs or “unfillable” direct hires to work on. - Professionalism - this company is gossipy so watch out. Corporate culture is shockingly sexist for a “woman-owned business.” Most disappointing is the fact that I’ve heard female upper management say wildly inappropriate comments directed at other employees and consistently toe the line of professionalism during work and at off work events.
