As with most start ups, the growth isn’t supported by the infrastructure. There is little to no growth on the People Team let alone available opportunities to learn or ways to build personal visibility. We seem to have no problem implementing more and more technology to make our jobs more difficult yet they refuse to look at the employees, their careers and the current level of satisfaction in their roles. Despite doing great work, only managers seem to get promoted The leaders are not leading people: they are dictating and disconnected from the well-being of their employees. In our quest to disrupt the industry, the leaders don’t seem at all concerned with the people who work here. The People Team is a joke - there is no team work, no collaboration and no hope for a career here.
The People Team has no growth track and despite asking over and over again, seems to have no interest in the career development of their employees or creating levels/goals to work towards. The team is flat with no promotion opportunity and yet their leaders get promoted time and again; rewarding bad managers with more power and neglecting to even pretend to create opportunities for advancement for those under them. Salaries are very low compared to the market and no exceptions are made to account for cost of living, experience or good work. Only come here if you want to work a lot, not get paid well and report to someone with no management skills and no heart.
