I have been working at Domain Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - employee welfare and safety - great learning experience - good people - great work/life balance - flexible working arrangements

    Cons

    - a little bit more businessy after becoming a public and listed company - could do with a bit more generosity when it comes to supporting employees going to conferences and team building events.

I worked at Domain Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some old timers are very insecure and feels threatend by someone new knowing more than them. No process at all, some old timers are boss since they made the company from the start. No diversity - some teams feel people belonging to different country makes a team diverse and so they hire only known to each other.

    Cons

Good office at one time , now due to cost cutting that's also gone.

I worked at Domain Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I had the most incredible time working for Domain Group! So many social activities, awesome culture and a lot of room for growth and development. I came from a completely different employment background to what I thought they'd be looking for and was encouraged and supported every step of the way by my wonderful managers and mentors. It did wonders for my confidence and made me really feel like a part of the family. I can't recommend this company enough.

    Cons

Leaving the Domain Family for an incredible opportunity with a competitor, that I would never have had if Domain hadn't supported me on every step of my journey. (So, short answer, none whatsoever! I still miss it!)

"Do NOT work for this company if want to earn sales commissions"

I have been working at Domain Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some great people to work with - if you end up in the right team. Ability to work from home at times, when needed.

    Cons

Sales targets in NSW have been near unachievable for the past 2yrs - churn and burn. Let's work the Sales Team to the bone with high activity requirements + stretch targets out to the point they are unable to hit for most months of the year. Better yet, if it looks like an Account Manager is tracking really well, let's just inflate their targets so they can't hit them . Sales Operations processes are ridiculously long and convoluted. T&C's in sales campaigns (to earn commissions) are so complex and come with so many caveats that even when you should be earning comms they find a way not to pay you. Some teams are ridiculously micro-managed (Sales Managers, your attention could be better used elsewhere!). Since Domain Group have become a publicly listed company there has been a lot of cost-cutting and customer price increases - shareholders, shareholders, shareholders $$$ As a result of a lot of changes the Sales Team are becoming over-worked and under-paid. The culture of the whole Sales Team has taken a real hit - many great Account Mangers have left the business over the past 12months. The products/brand is becoming harder to sell/defend to clients as a result of Domain Group's greediness. No real career progression for an Account Manager.
