Pros

MOST of the people here are amazing. Everyone is very helpful and very capable of doing a great job.

Cons

CEO is toxic. Micromanages people to death, then yells (yes I do mean yell) at you for not taking initiative. Changes strategy before the ink is dry on the previous strategy so absolutely no way to get anything going. Gaslights you on what she told you to do so I was always working on the wrong thing. Because she is the CEO, who deliberately doesn't have an HR function, there is no way to get help in trying to work through problems. There is absolutely no way to do a good job at the company.

Pros

None. Worst place I've worked in my entire career.

Cons

I cannot express how toxic this culture is. I read the negative reviews before signing on, but thought they must be exaggerating... NOPE. The CEO is absolutely unmanageable. Almost no one lasts more than 6 months. She yells at and insults people. She assigns work only to tell you you are doing the wrong thing, did it incorrectly, or did a terrible job. She ends up doing 90% of the work herself. Employees are so afraid of her that they won't have conversations over slack because she reads (and responds) to every single channel. She will argue with you over each little decision and completely paralyze you and your entire team. She will change direction overnight over and over again, so it becomes pointless to start any projects at all. And her vitriol doesn't stop at her own employees. She consistently said that the prospects and customers were stupid, not knowing how they should "actually" be thinking about product management. Any challenges or missed metrics are everyone else's fault, never hers. The only reason she has been successful is the Paypal name, but there is no way in hell the company will succeed given the high turnover. I would not ever - EVER - recommend this company to anyone. (Oh, and she asks employees to submit good reviews here to try to drown out all the negative ones, and tries to get employees who leave to sign an agreement saying they won't leave negative reviews!!! Seriously!).

Pros

Some smart and nice people who deserve better.

Cons

The CEO's leadership is abysmal—marked by disrespect, arbitrary and ineffective decision-making, and a refusal to address fundamental issues. The frequent hiring and firing contribute to a toxic work environment. My strong recommendation is to steer clear of this company.
