Co workers were the best part about this job, very smart and helpful people. I found managers in most departments to be very nice and approachable such as Engineering, Business Development, Marketing, Ad ops, Product. Company culture was pretty good when I joined but started becoming bad slowly over the last year. Provide $7 per day towards meal which is nice. Sometimes the kitchen is stocked, sometimes its empty. ( depends on if CEO wants to spend money on the employees) Close to freeway, Marginal salary increases. If your not in engineering then very little from what I heard. Somewhat open and spacious office.
Cons
You will work Long hours (50+ a week in most departments) Stock compensation was lacking in pretty much every department and wont change. The accounting department seems to have new people join and leave every other month. From what I've seen and heard they work even longer then 60+ hours and are treated pretty poorly. This also made it difficult to get anything done related to accounting because those guys were so swamped with work. The office politics was slowly increasing as the company got bigger which is expected. The office building is very old and looks like it could fall apart at any moment. The CEO only cares about the engineers, that much is pretty obvious once you've seen the way she acts around the rest of the staff, by which she totally ignores non - engineers. She also has a tendency to scream at upper management when she gets mad, which is often (weekly). I feel bad for the managers. Even though its only like 4 years old this is not like the regular startups like Uber, Airbnb, Netflix. So dont be fooled, you wont find that type of culture here.
